Alana graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2012 with an Honors Degree in Sociology and Criminology. During college, she volunteered for Learning It Together, a program targeted to make learning fun for students attending underserved schools. She also travelled abroad to Australia to participate in conservation projects.
In 2015, Alana graduated Cum Laude from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During her time in law school, she interned for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and was the Online Editor of the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review. She was a recipient of the Virginia Leo Sirotnak Dean’s Scholarship for academic achievement.
Before joining Applebaum & Stone, she worked for a large personal injury firm. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and attending kickboxing classes. Alana will be sitting on the NEXTGen Detroit Board for the 2018-2019 calendar year.
